Remi Hair Extensions
Remi Hair Extensions Are The Best
The modern day fashion industry has found a way to make a woman’s hair beautiful through the use of hair accessories, the most popular of which are hair extensions. Celebrities and non-celebrities have fallen head over heels with this hair accessory, so much so that it has become part and parcel of anyone who wants to have beautiful hair.
Hair extensions come in various textures, length, color and quality. Among these, remi (sometimes spelled as remy) hair extensions are said to be the best in quality because they are made of the finest quality human hair (usually coming from Europe) making it the most expensive. Remi hair extensions are obtained by cutting the hair from a person’s head thus giving it the ability to maintain the direction of the cuticle.
Remi hair extensions are attached using various methods, the most common of which are clip-ons, braiding, pre tipped, weaving, bonding, ring X and fusion (please refer to the article on putting in hair extensions for a more detailed description of each method). Consult a professional hairdresser to help determine the best attachment method for your hair.
Since this is quite pricey, it really makes sense to take the best of care so that you get the most out of your “investment”. You can start taking care of it by making sure that it is washed at least every 2-3 days, and that it is well-moisturized particularly at the tips to prevent it from drying out.
Detangle it using a brush or comb that is specifically designed to do this job. Start at the ends going up to prevent damage to the remi hair extension. If you are going to be exposed under the sun for prolonged periods of time, be kind to your hair extension (and your pocket) by wearing a hat or a cap.
Planning to go to bed for the night or just a quick nap? First, comb or brush your hair to remove tangles. Either put it in a ponytail or a braid to lessen the chances of tangling while sleeping.
You can still style it the same way you would with your natural hair. They can survive styling wands and the occasional blow dryer (at the lowest setting) but it is not recommended that you subject your remi hair extension to chemical treatments. Some remi hair extensions have also undergone treatments to make sure that the cuticle and the hair itself are going in the same direction. But despite all the cautionary reminders you are still itching to get your remi hair extensions chemically treated, consult a professional hairdresser on how to go about it.
