Pre Bonded Hair Extensions – Things You Need To Know

A popular and quick way to add length and or body to your hair is with the use of salon hair extensions. And the most popular way of doing this is to use Pre bonded hair extensions. The procedure is not cheap, so you quite rightly may want to know a little more about what to expect if you have them done.

Pre bonded hair extensions will not automatically do damage to your hair. In some instances, when the hair has been damaged, the extensions may protect your hair while a growing out process happens. When it comes time to remove them do not try to so yourself. Instead they need to removed in the salon to maintain the health of your natural hair. When you get home with your extensions you need to look after them. Doing things like not leaving your hair wet, using a good shampoo/conditioner, and securing your hair before going to bed will extend their life and your investment.

Just as we all have unique hair the styles and colours of extensions are also as varied. If done properly by a talented stylist there is no reason for anyone else to know they are not real – unless you tell them.

You can use your normal hair utensils on your extensions- curling tongs straightening irons and blow-dryers can all be used (carefully) without problems. It is advisable though to use a comb designed particularly for hair extensions as these will glide smoothly over your precious bonded strands.

Having long extensions can put extra pressure on your scalp that it might not be used to. And some people have adverse reactions to the bonding glue. These are simply things to keep in mind when deciding to have extensions added.

Pre bonded hair extensions can give you beautiful looking result within a matter of hours at the salon, improving confidence and appearance.
