My step mother and I are going to be dyeing my 100% human clip in hair extensions. They are a dark brown and we’ll be dying them black. We’ll also be dyeing my real hair black. How long do we keep the hair dye on the extensions. In the directions it tells me to keep the hair dye on my head for 25 minutes. And some additional tips would be nice.
Thank you & goodbye.

I think you should keep the dye on for your extensions for the same amount of time. Since its human hair it should be the same time requirement. Also, the color you are using gives you an advantage because it’s the darkest color the palette. So you are not going to have problem with different shades.
All the best
I have no clue, im a dark blonde, i dyed my hair this morn was supposed to be a light to med blonde, it turned out red. Be careful what you do, before you do it. Cant turn back whats been done.
since its real hair, the amount of time would be the same
25 minutes.
The best result is 30 minutes to 1 hour if you want to have strong color. The more you soak it longer the more it will last for 6 months or even more than a year,it depends upon the kind of hair color what you’re using. Just choose the best brand,in my experienced,my mom’s hair are almost turns into white and she wants to color it black so i fix the color and brush it in her hair, and leave it there for 1 to 2 hours, and it lasted more than a year.
Just remember after applying the color don’t cover it,let the fresh air dried it. Because if you put some cover on it,perspiration from our nits will mixed with the color that will result to weaken the color of your hair. Some beauticians used hair dryer after applying the color and leave it there for 30 to 1 hour, then rinse it thoroughly and dry it again, you will see the result. But if you want to have light color just minimize the time of leaving the color into hair and the mixing of the color.
Hope it can help.
It really depends on the dye you use, so read the directions carefully. I’m a professional stylist and I would say about 30 minutes should do. Black is easy to see when it has developed. Make sure you use a permanent dye though, no semi’s or demi’s. Good Luck.
